Professor Cailin O’Connor is philosopher of biology and behavioral sciences, philosopher of science, and evolutionary game theorist.  She is a Professor in the Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science, and recently finished co-administering the NSF grant \u201cConsensus, Democracy, and the Public Understanding of Science\u201d with philosopher of physics James Owen Weatherall<\/a> (previous NSF grant Social Dynamics and Diversity in Epistemic Communities).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their co-authored trade book\u00a0The Misinformation Age\u00a0<\/a>was published with Yale University Press.\u00a0 Her monograph\u00a0The Origins of Unfairness<\/a>\u00a0was published in July 2019 by Oxford University Press, and her books\u00a0Games in the Philosophy of Biology<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Modeling Scientific Communities<\/a>\u00a0were published in the CUP elements series.\u00a0 She also writes public philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
